Biblioteca A. Veggiani
Biblioteca A. Veggiani
The Public Library of Mercato Saraceno is housed in the former municipal slaughterhouse, which has been beautifully restored based on the project designed by the Municipality's Technical Office.
The Library is dedicated to Antonio Veggiani, an engineer and outstanding citizen of Mercato Saraceno who died in 1996. Veggiani had many interests, being a keen archaeologist and geologist as well as an expert on local history and cultivating an interest in culture and books. He was among the founders of the Romagna Society of Studies.
The Library is currently managed with the help of the Associazione DinAmica, whose volunteers are supported by an external librarian. It offers a wide range of services to users, in particular areas for study, research and consultation, as well as serving the primary activity of a town library by lending books.
